Butia odorata x Jubaea chilensis F2
More Info
Common name: Unknown
A beautiful hybrid produced by pollinating a female Butia odorata with Jubaea chilensis pollen, and to get the F2 the offspring of the F1 are self pollinated. While overall rather similar to B. odorata, it produces a heavier trunk, stiffer leaves and much shorter inflorescences. It shows excellent cold-hardiness but grows faster than a Jubaea. Seed source for this palm was France
