More Info

A vey cold hardy palm from high altitude in Mexico. It had papery thin slightly matt leaves and produces suckers. Hardy to around-7c with overhead protection, and although it can grow in full sun it certainly prefers at least some shade in the heat of summer.

It does really well as a houseplant, and the benefit of this if that you can keep the snails off as they are attracted to them. I use copper tape around the base to keep them away and it works very well as slugs and snails do not cross it.

This is a palm like all my others has been cold grown at my Kent nursery. It is around 8 years old
