Trachycarpus wagnerianus x princeps

A cross first made in 2016 combining two of the most attractive and sought after Trachycarpus in the genus, with the compact stiff leaves of wagnerianus crossed with the stunning princeps with its large stiff blue/grey leaves with white undersides to the leaves, this was probably the most anticipated of all the crosses when it became possible. Although slightly variable these are probably the most attractive of all the crosses at the nursery, with traits of both parents strongly evident. Speed of growth is nothing spectacular but similar to that of T.fortunei. These are an absolute must for any collector of cold hardy palms, and will be incredibly cold hardy as would be expected given both parents are nailed on cold hardy in most parts of the UK.
