Chamaedorea radicalis

Common name:  Hardy Parlour Palm

Without question the hardiest of all the Chamaedorea. This rarely available little feather palm is native to the woodlands of central and north-eastern Mexico, where it grows in damp undergrowth up to an altitude of around 1000m. A small palm which has  a solitary trunk with dark green leathery pinnate leaves. These very much look best when planted together as several individuals, maybe 4-5 plants, this super cold hardy little palm works really well under the canopy of more mature palms. Every palm grower needs this in their collection!

• Position/Aspect: Looks best in full shade or partial sun, grown as an understorey palm. Can be aclimatised to grow in full sun.
