First introduced into the UK by plant hunter Robert Fortune in the 1860s. They were widely planted in Cornwall of which some of the very early plantings still exist to this day. The first truly cold hardy fan palm which can now be seen all other the UK. An essential palm and pretty much bomb proof in the vast majority of the country. It will grow around 30cm trunk per year once established

All one and two leaf seedlings will be sent as bare root, carefully packed to ensure the roots remain moist. If you would like the seedling sent in a pot then chose the 0.7 Litre post size
